Spy Phone Guy, I was comparing the various links you list on the right hand side: Mobile Spy, Spyera, Stealth Genie, etc. etc. Trying to compare price and compatibility w/ my phone. Question: Some appear to be monthly or annual subscriptions and others seems to be one-time purchase of software. Can you explain some of the differences you have found in the products? Thank you.

Hi,

Actually all the products you mention have the following purchase options.

  • 3 months
  • 6 months
  • Annual

So which one should you get? It all depends on how long you plan to use the software. For example, if you're buying cell phone monitoring software to keep track of your teens, so you're able to locate them at any time and in case of an emergency, they I'd definitely go with an annual plan because the long term ownership costs are lower than if you were to go with a 3 month plan. However, with that being said it might be best to first go with a 3 month option to "test" out the software you're buying and ensure that it works on the phone, there are no problems (such as battery drain), etc. Then once you feel that software you chose is working and you're happy with it, you can always renew it for a longer period.

Now which actual product should you choose? That's really a tough one to answer as it depends on what features are most important to you, your budget, the type of phone, etc. I'd start by taking a look at Mobile Spy (www.mobile-spy.net). They support the largest range of handsets (Android, BB, iPhone, Symbian, Windows Mobile), have live customer support, and have a real solid set of features.

If you have any other questions, let me know.
